Not many German ski areas are as snow-sure yet diversified as the Skiarena Steibis (860-1.400 m) and Hochgrat (800-1.800 m). There are slopes for every tase and level, well tended and due to modern snow cannons in prime condition, even during unfavourable weather. Everyone discovers his preferred slope: kilometers of downhill slopes for all levels, beginner to pro, families and snowboarder. Adventurous descents with panoramic view let your heart beat faster.
And best of all: the fun starts directly at Starennest, with the Starenlift and Schindelberglift as connection to the Skiarena Steibis or with the new learning lift for children. You can find further information about the lifts at www.starenlift.de .
Private Ski and Snowboard lessons can be held directly at the Hotel. For a children's ski class we recommend our partner, Skischule Steibis.

Cross Country School Oberstaufen
Classical or sports Cross country skiing is taught in the middle of the town on the Kalzhofer track by the specialists from Langlaufschulke Oberstaufen. It is not only a sport but also fascination of movement. Ski, let the winter wonderland pass by and enjoy! But enjoying anly works with tops from the professionals: Langlaufschule Oberstaufen is the only winter sports school in Oberstaufen specialized in cross country skiing. The specialists will accompany and teach you on all tracks in Oberstaufen.
