Starennest

over the years

  • 1931

    Magdalena and Clemens Zinth received the first guests in Schindelberg in 1932. In 1950 they took over the farm and were than able to welcome more and more guests in seven guestrooms.

  • 1973

    In 1973, the Café Starennest was opened, at that time in a barn. In the 70’s the farmhouse (today the main building) has been extended by an adjoining building, giving room for the Café Starennest you see today and six more comfortable guestrooms with balconies facing to the south.

  • 1981

    In 1981, the son Arthur Zinth took over from his parents and over the years, the former holiday farm developed into a comfortable 3-star hotel.

  • 2005

    In 2005 the guestrooms in the upper two floors of the main house were completely renovated.

  • Today

    Today, since the beginning of 2017, the younger generation is in charge. Starennest has a long history of tradition and we are constantly working on sustaining that for the future.
